Too Much

*Whew*

I haven't blogged in a bit here. Too darned busy. Even now, as I sit here, I'm thinking up half a dozen other things I should be doing otherwise.

So, basically, just popping off a note here that I'm not dead. I am, however, convinced that May and June are the busiest times of the year - screw December. All this winding down, planning stuff, recitals, rehearsals, field trips, graduations - you name it - I am having a hard time remember what's what around here.

Anyhow, lots to tell, but no time to tell it - which is probably a good thing ....

I'll be back .... at some point. I promise.

Sisterly Love

Brooke: *sitting on the couch one morning playing her Nintendo DS* GET AWAY FROM ME DANIELLE - YOU SMELL LIKE PEE!!!

Danielle: NO I DON'T!

Brooke: YES YOU DO - YOU STILL WEAR A DIAPER - YOU SMELL LIKE PEE - GET AWAY FROM MEEEEE!!!

*Danielle STILL wears a pull up, at age 5. We've discussed this with the docs and everything - she just does NOT wake up in the night to go to the bathroom .....*

Danielle: IT IS NOT A DIAPER - IT'S A PULL UP! (her bottom lip starts to hang)

Brooke: Whatever - YOU STINK!

Danielle: Yeah?? Well, you smell like PUKE!

Brooke: I do NOT!

Danielle: YES YOU DO!

*for the record, Brooke was just recovering from the puke flu at this time*

Brooke: NO I DON'T! I HAVEN'T PUKED SINCE YESTERDAY!

A sign on Brooke's bedroom door says this:

"No Danielle in my room."

Webkinz Woes

My kids are addicted to Webkinz and frequently visit the website. On it, they send each other "gifts" for their virtual pets - like articles of clothing or items to decorate each others webkinz rooms.

Not too long ago, a fight broke out at the dinner table between the two - can't even remember what it was about (it's usually about something incredibly stupid), when the sobs started.

Danielle: WELL, I want my gifts back on Webkinz world that I sent you today!!

Brooke: Nope!

Danielle: YES!!! You're not being nice to me, so I want them back!!!!

*Yes, they've even resorted to fighting over gifts given to one another virtually.*

*************************************************************

The list goes on, really.

And that plague lasted an entire week here with Brooke ending up missing an entire week of school as well as having a kidney infection - so having her here, in the house, cooped up, led to a lot of fighting (the misery, the discomfort and such). I think I grew another 50 or so new grey hairs in the matter of a few days.

Oh the joys.
